Taylor Park is a wonderful school because we have great students, involved parents, and engaged staff. Each year we identify school wide goals so we can continue to improve.
Our school goals for 2025-2026 are:
- Reading
K-4
Foster a literacy-rich environment that honors the Indigenous Principles of Learning, nurturing students’ growth through scaffolded, culturally responsive reading experiences that specifically focus on building word recognition and decoding skills, which in turn will improve fluency, comprehension, and reading confidence.
4-7
Create a literacy-rich environment grounded in the Indigenous Principles of Learning, using scaffolded, meaningful reading experiences to build students’ comprehension, retention, and confidence in analyzing texts through critical thinking and reflection.
- Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
At Taylor Park, we are nurturing a community where every child feels seen, supported, and valued. Focusing on kindness and emotional growth and regulation, and rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing, we’re committed to helping children thrive—not just academically, but as compassionate, inclusive, and socially aware individuals. Together, we’re guiding them to build strong relationships, care for themselves and others, and understand their place in a connected, diverse world.
