On Friday, May 16 our school will be holding a walk-a-thon to raise funds for classroom supplies and school equipment. Our goal this year is to raise at least $5,000.
All students will walk a designated route around the neighbourhood of 1 km to 4 km depending on the grade level. Classes will walk together with their teachers. Our expectation is that every child participates in this school-wide event, whether or not they have any sponsors.
To further generate school spirit, parents are once again welcomed to join the walk! If you would like to join your child’s class outside on their route, we kindly ask parents to confirm attendance with their child’s teacher prior to May 5th.
The maximum number of volunteers per class are 2 or 3 people, but we are looking for additional volunteers to be on course to help with traffic control and at the Start/Finish line. To volunteer click here: https://forms.gle/eUHy5FbHp7xLrujHA
Students are being asked to collect sponsorships prior to the walk-a-thon.
