Grade 6 & 7 Camp 2023 Information

As part of our school experience and to complement our Social Responsibility, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education curriculum, a year end trip to Timberline Ranch has been planned.  As in past years, our Grade 6’s and Grade 7’s will be going together as we try to have a camp experience for every two years.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Total Cost for Camp $250

We would like to collect $50 by February 28th as a deposit for each student and the remaining $200 by May 1st. If you want, the whole amount can be paid by February 28th. This can be done through SchoolCashonline.  Please note that we have a substantial grant from the province to help out people with financial challenges – we would rather that this grant be used then a family be challenged in paying for food/clothing/rent so please contact Mr. Wall if you would like part or all of your fees covered.

Besides our ten Taylor Park staff we will also need eight parent volunteers in order to meet the district’s safety standard of eight students to one adult.  If you would like to be considered as a volunteer please complete the linked application and email or print it, complete it, and send it to Mr. Wall. Please note that volunteers are not typically put in the same cabin or group as their child and all their expenses are covered.

We would like to have a deposit along with the Taylor Park Expectations and Timberline Ranch risk acknowledgement signed by Feb. 28 so that we can finalize our plans.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or myself.

I’m excited to be able to have this opportunity for our students and look forward to receiving your deposit and forms!
